Colette Vallee began working in the field of aging in 1997.  Colette holds a B.S. in Family, Youth and Community Sciences and an M.A. in Gerontology.  Vallee has held positions with two Area Agencies on Aging, where job duties included volunteer coordination and development; disaster preparedness and response; and Medicare counseling.  She also worked for several years as a public health educator where she sat on a national committee to develop HIV prevention strategies for older adults and co-authored the book Aging with HIV: Psychological, Social, and Health Issues.  Vallee currently works for Margaret Lynn Duggar & Associates where she serves as Director of Programs & Advocacy for the Florida Council on Aging.  During her tenure, she has overseen several statewide grants related to educating Medicare beneficiaries in Florida.
