Carey Kyler is a Fortune 500 trained consumer insights expert, design thinker, former network television executive, and consumer evangelist. Working on brands like Tide, AARP, and the Travel Channel, her passion is identifying opportunities and bringing new solutions based in consumer need. In her nearly 15 years at AARP, she has had roles/responsibilities in Strategy, Insights, Consumer Experience, Innovation, and Product Development. As Senior Director of Insights & Research for ASI (the for-profit arm of AARP), she is responsible for delivering actionable insights about older adults that drive results for AARP providers and improve members’ commercial experience.
Prior to joining AARP, Carey was the Vice President of Programming Strategy and Commissioning for the Travel Channel. Additionally, she spent 7 years at Procter & Gamble as the Global Consumer Insights lead for Cover Girl cosmetics, where she led studies for global market entry, multicultural consumer experience, as well as for improving the shopping experience for brands like Crest, Pantene, and Tide. She has been a regular guest speaker at Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, and George Washington Universities, and dabbles in chocolate making on the side.
