Richard Lui is a Peabody- and Murrow-honored journalist with more than 30 years across media, technology, and business, including two decades anchoring breaking national and international coverage at NBCU News Group, CNN Worldwide, and MSNOW. A care-economy operator, he serves as Executive Director of CAREGenome at the University of Michigan and Chief Impact Officer of Startup Health’s Caregiving Moonshot, working with founders, investors, and health leaders building in the longevity and care markets. He also serves as an AARP Caregiving Ambassador, Alzheimer’s Association Celebrity Ambassador, and UN Global CARE Alliance Champion. For 10 years, Lui traveled every other week between New York and California to care for his parents as they faced Alzheimer’s and dementia. That experience led him to direct two Oscar-qualifying films on caregiving, Sky Blossom and UNCONDITIONAL, with two more films in production: To the Moon, on elected officials who are caregivers, and Dr. Hope, on the HIV/AIDS breakthrough credited with saving more than 32 million lives. Earlier, Lui worked at Citibank, where he launched a patented, bank-centric fintech exchange that exited successfully. He has since launched five technology brands across data, fintech, and deep learning.
