Katherine Kim, PhD, MPH, MBA, is a consumer health informaticist with expertise in digital health, AI, and community-engaged innovation. She is Adjunct Full Professor at University of California Davis, School of Medicine, Department of Public Health Sciences, and Senior Scientist for CITRIS Health at UC Berkeley. In addition, Dr. Kim is the Founder and CEO of Health Tequity LLC, which brings the best of digital health and AI to improving care in communities. Health Tequity has won awards for its co-design approach, real-world health outcomes, and innovative AI digital twins. Dr. Kim is an internationally recognized researcher and an elected Fellow of both International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics and American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA). She has over 60 peer-reviewed research publications and teaches in university and executive education courses. Dr. Kim serves on the Board of Archstone Foundation—a grantmaking philanthropy dedicated to the health and well-being of older adults in California—as Vice-Chair of the Board and Chair of the Program Review Committee. She received her PhD from UC Davis, MPH and MBA from UC Berkeley, and BA from Harvard.
