Sam Ward | Co-founder and Principal, Alderman+Ward

Sam Ward is a co-founder and principal at Alderman+Ward, a strategy and design consultancy working at the intersection of foresight, research, and emerging technology. With deep experience across healthcare, financial services, and consumer products, Sam helps organizations in HealthTech, Fintech, and EdTech navigate complexity and build toward futures that are both useful and humane.

At Alderman+Ward, Sam leads the firm’s product and design practice, bringing a research-grounded, human-centered lens to client engagements. That work includes Future Signals, A+W’s platform for capturing weak signals, mapping trends, and stress-testing strategy through scenario planning. From that foundation, Sam developed a hands-on workshop format that pairs AI-assisted development with speculative design — helping innovation teams use vibe coding tools to make potential futures tangible rather than purely theoretical.

Sam is also the founder of Attuned Growth, a training platform for mental health professionals. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University, with additional AI coursework from MIT, and brings a behavioral science perspective to questions of technology adoption, product design, and human decision-making.
